Fee Information
Because the work I do spans such a wide
variety of endeavors, my charges and contractual arrangements for each project
are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
- Fees for speaking, teaching, consulting or special writing
assignments can be arranged on an hourly, weekly or project basis.
- For TV and film writing assignments, I work under the contracts
covered by the Writer’s Guild of America Minimum Basic agreement.
- Certain interactive projects, such as those for CD-ROMs and
videogames, are covered by the special Writers’
Guild Interactive Program Contract. Writing for the Internet is covered by the special Made-for-Internet
Contract. However, the WGA
does not stipulate minimums in these areas, so fees for this type of work
can be negotiated .
- My book contracts are handled by my literary agent, Susan Crawford of the
Crawford Literary Agency.
